It's pretty close. I used it before getting a loan for a car and then got a letter from the loan company telling me my score and it was a few points away from what credit karma said. But then again when somome does a hard inquiry on your credit it automatically brings it down a few points

@breenda21, u need to contact the 3 credit bureaus directly and here's why first it's free once a year. Second it 100% accurate and third it's not a hard inquiry. Also I might mention depending on who u bank with I have several accounts that give me my fico monthly for free which is kinda nice. Chase and Bank of America but I'm sure other banks do it 2 I had Washington mutual( before they merged) for years and they gave it as well.
