It is a nightmare @hannah2310 it's so hard to get them out took me a while and your bed is never your own for a while Brandon was 4 when I finally managed to get him out all night but at the time I was so tired I was crying I would have done anything just to have a sleep luckily he was the only one that didn't sleep I was blessed with babies that slept right through but I won't forget Brandon as a baby little bugger that he was lol

I know @daisysmummy, I've worked with children for 8 years, just thought I'd try it, a lot of mums I've spoken to have done it and it's worked, doesn't mean I'll be doing it, I'm trying anything I can x

Thanks @sara-lou @mummy1984, I've tried swaddling and she been in bed a few times because I've needed sleep that badly 😂, I'd happily co sleep but I feel like it's just going to make nighttime worse as she gets older xx

I agree with @mummy1984 All the crying it out method does is teaches them that when they cry, no one will come... a baby needs to know you're there which is very important for their emotional development xx

I don't leave Max to cry but I also don't get him out of his cot @hannah2310 After cuddles and songs I lay him down and sit by his crib for a bit. If he's unsettled or crying I'll lay my hand on his tummy or stroke his face. Say goodnight and walk away. I'll keep coming back trying to leave it a little longer each time until he settles. This way they are getting the reasurance that you aways come back. Has worked for both my boys thankfully. First few nights you can be up like a yo-yo but they soon start to settle quicker each night. Obviously still have the odd night but I carry on doing the same thing. When their poorly or not themselves I'll get them up for cuddles etc & they've slept with me but day to day I like that they settle themselves to sleep.

Well I'm trying every possible method to try and get Scarlett to sleep, nothing is working and after two months of three hours sleep a night I'll try anything to get us both a good nights sleep, she's currently in my arms being cuddled x

It's doing baby worse according to scientist research my opinion is go and cuddle your baby I think it's cruel all the baby will get is that no matter how much they cry you are not coming and that is really sad if it's killing you and your an adult imagine what how scared the baby is
