They shouldnt have them done until they've had their first vaccines.

Talk to your dr to see when it's safe to do it. I'm waiting til mine is older so she can decide, but that's just me. I think 6 months is a good time, thought

My niece got them at 4 months, you can do them as soon as they have there first shots.

My ped won't do it in the office til 6 months which I'm probably gonna do them then

You can also have their doctor do it, which would be the best option.

I had the same question. I want my girls pierced but don't know when to do it. Most parlors here won't do it until they're at least 3, though :/ My mom had mine done when I was 7, but had my sisters done at 8 months.

Most places will not do it until they've had their first vaccinations or are 6 weeks old. Personally I recommend getting it done by a professional at a tattoo & piercing shop, much less chance of infection and the piercing will heal better over all. The people at Walmart, Claire's, etc. aren't trained in piercing and don't have to sterilize their space after each client & piercing with a gun can cause the piercing to heal incorrectly or not at all. Just a tip though.
