I got pregnant while on the pill so I switched to the mirena after I had my baby. I love it because I haven't gotten a period since then and my period were bad! Most I get is light spotting but that's only happened once so far. But I didn't know you can bleed for up to 6 months after you get it. I only bled for about 2 weeks though. But everyone is different with that.

Everyone is different. I had the Nexplanon period was very light that lasted about 3 days. Only problem for me is I gained 15 pounds. I also have taken the pill. I have no problem with it periods are 7 days and never had a pregnancy scare but you have to make sure to take it the same time everyday for it to be 100% affective. You just have to find what works for you because what works for me may not work for you.

Implanon had it for 3 years had my period every 3 months for 4 days. And no pregnancy scares.
