in moderation it is safe, meaning two tablespoons full is plenty. I ate it, an all my friends have while pregnant. my midwife said it was okay once in awhile.

if you make it yourself. just wash the outside of the egg before you crack it open into it. salmonella is on the outside of the egg. or use a product that has pasteurized eggs.
