they say as soon as you feel sober enough to drive you can breast feed. but I personally wait at least 4-8hours depending on how much I had. and before I drink I make sure I have enough milk pumped for the baby. oh and pumping and throwing the milk away doesn't help. you just have to give it time and drink plenty water
