I need opinions. My children's father and his gf are under investigation for child neglect for one of our daughters. She ended up getting 2 2nd degree burns on her arm and it got infected because they didn't take her to see a doctor. Now would you allow your children to go over night with them or request supervised visits?

Definitely wouldn't let them go over there! @veronicaann and if they are investigating the gf when you go to the court about it it will make it much easier for you to get what you want.
If your worried about going against the order you should refile to change the custody agreement and ask for supervised visits only. Social Services should be able to assist you if he tries threatening you in the meantime since its an open investigation. Personally I wouldn't allow overnights or unsupervised if they lack the common sense to ensure your children have medical treatment when needed. Obviously they were attempting to cover their own asses which is why they didn't take her to the ER when it happened. I understand accidents happen but many are preventable.
That's what I want is no over nights just strictly supervised where I can be there to make sure nothing happens to them and I know they're being watched
That's what I've been doing. He doesn't show up for visit pickups anyways but I don't want him saying I was refusing to give them but I don't see a judge being okay with a child being hurt this bad and them not seeking medical attention. Unless I'm crazy and they would?
No ma'am i wouldn't trust them period! ! Father or not.. If he can be investigated for 1 of his biological children, who's to say things won't happen again to another.. I'm sorry but I'd ask for strict supervision visits and no sleep overs!
They haven't been back there since it happened but their father recently made the comment he wanted them this weekend since he has visitations with them. And I do not feel comfortable with either of them being left alone with my children
supervised visit and after that i would never let my bby be with them if im not their..but it be on record so they cant complain
That's what I was thinking. The state police are investigating this and the gf just recently became a suspect. I do not feel comfortable with my children being there at all. I know some accidents happen but this was preventable and they did not take her to seek medical attention. She's 3 years old and will have this horrible scar on her arm for the rest of her life
Good! Because that was bs that it happened to my child while in their care. And I get that accidents happen but this was preventable and very irresponsible. And the fact that they didn't take her to see a doctor pisses me off even more they let it go without proper medical treatment
