I wanted to share this picture because it's just so raw and ugly and beautiful at the same time. The relief was INCREDIBLE. From womb to skin to skin. We were still attached by the cord. This was an unassisted, unmedicated, delayed cord clamping, skin to skin birth, hospital birth. People always think hospital births can't be natural, but if you have the will power they can be. When I got there I basically told them "When I need you, I'll call you." 12 hours later I saw my doctor again when I was ready to push and even then she didn't coach me. I pushed when I felt like it. When my body had the urge. No one forced me to push to counts of 8. There's nothing that compares to the physical feeling of literally pushing another human into the world. I was awed. $15,000 for her to just catch my baby 😂😂. No tearing, no stitches, completely intact. This was the exact moment me and Rose's adoptive moms met her. I'm a birthmom and I'm not ashamed. #StopMomShaming
you go girl that's beautiful
