Has anyone had any experience with ECV's? Baby girl 🎀 has been transverse since 20 weeks and at 32 weeks was breech, I had my appointment today at 36w&6d; and she is still breech? Can someone tell me their stories? Was it a success? I'm not worrying I just want to hear other people's experiences ☺️
@natashayummymummy, yeah I've heard it hasn't got a high success rate but if it does work it mostly works in 2nd time mums, so at your pre-op if baby has moved can you still have the csection? I think if mine goes to csection I will want to stick with it because yo-yoing around would stress me out I think!!
I tried everything from hands and knees hoovering with the tools with my bum in the air to taping a set of earphones to bottom of my belly towards the pubic bone area and played music, but nothing worked, but i do know quite a few people the process has worked for xx
@safiamammy1, yeah that's what me and my husband think she's just too comfortable in there if she hasn't moved much I don't see her moving willingly! 😂 stubborn like her mummy 🎀👶🏻 well see
@weddingbaby2016, hi Hun I'm 37 weeks nearly 38 weeks and my baby is still breech, I tried ecv but mine was unsuccessful and was uncomfortable and I found it painful. I'm due to have a c-section at 39 weeks got my pre op appointment next Friday which they will check if she's still breech and if so my c-section will be going ahead xx
I had one at 40 weeks and he just kept spinning everytime they let go of him so i had a section the day after, if im honest it didnt hurt but i was nervous which made me feel strange, and shakey, but like i sat it didnt work he was breech from 12 weeks and last pregnancy was same she was breech and we never opted for turning they just sectioned me and this time they wont even try to turn this breech one because of scaring and complications ive had during pregnancy, hope u can get her to move but i think they get comfortable in that position and just like to stay there. Xxx
@missy84, I'm not hopeful for it working just because she's been breech for so long
@weddingbaby2016, I said no thAnk you as soon as my midwife mentioned lol. I'm trying everything I can at home for her to turn but if not then C-section it is 😔.
@missy84, yeah I didn't want to have it but the dr said it's always worth trying and they said the second it hurts or becomes uncomfortable they stop
Never had one but my little one has been transversed this whole pregnancy. I don't want a ECV mainly because I heard its pretty sore to get it done n not that successful. If the little bugger is still transverse at my 38 wk appointment I've been told its highly likely I'll need a C-section.
I not sure if I'll be able to have c section still if she's moved but yeah I'd rather just stick to it now I've got my head around having a c section @weddingbaby2016 I'll keep u updated X
