My daughter is 10 days old and her umbilical cord just fell off but her belly button is bleeding. My older 2 didn't have this issue. Idk if it's normal or not.

same thing happened to my daughter. I did exactly what you did and within less than a day there was no more blood coming from it

Doesn't that burn? I just put warm water on a washcloth and dabbed it clean.

my son's fell of early and bleed also. His doctor but some kinda black medicine on it and it stopped the bleeding and healed up great.

They actually told me not to put alcohol on it because it slows the process of it falling off
