Sooooooo sometimes my little one wakes up out of a deep sleep choking... she thrashes her arms and tries to gulp in air. It is TERRIFYING.. what do I do for her so that doesn't happen? Or does it happen to everyone?

she burps very well after eating... doesn't spit up often .... but seems like she's choking on spit up or spit when she awakes. I pick her up and I pat her back and she's always been fine after .. but what if I don't hear it some night?

she's 4.5 months old

@milliesmommy, I agree with you on the "sleep flat on their backs" when it doesn't seem safe for some babies, my son had acid reflux he would sound like he's choking sleeping flat on his back, I had to sleep with him on my chest or have him inclined, sleeping on his side worked too :)

thank you ... I may prop her up a bit... everyone tries to scare the crap out of ya so much these days saying only flat on their back on a flat mattress .. I just don't think that works for my little one... scares me so much.

she's a very gassy baby but doesn't spit up alot so it doesn't seem like acid reflux ... she sleeps on her back/side.

I wonder if spit is just pooling in her mouth and she's not swallowing it. Maybe sleeping at an incline would help . If she sleeps in her crib you can put something under the mattress to raise it a bit . I've heard this works for reflux or when baby has cold with stuffy nose .

Does she sleep on her tummy or back? I'd say rotate...put her on the opposite side tonight and see how that goes. A family friends kid had acid reflux so bad (was misdiagnosed) he had to be propped up to sleep.

When Baby Won't Stop Spitting Up...

What do you do?! I've fed her, she spit up. Wanted to eat. Spit up again. A lot. Basically she just keeps spitting up and crying her face off. Do I keep trying to feed her my milk?! Obviously it's hurting her belly. What do I do?!! Ugh she's soooo unhappy right now :(

babybump_user My 8 year old daughter was like this, in her case it was a milk protein allergy.
babybump_user When my baby spit up, I try to prop him up kind of like sitting after feeding
babybump_user I agree with keeping her upright 30 min after a feed. Also, do you have a nipple

My 6 month old daughter spits up all the time. While she eats, after she eats. I switched her formula to soy and she's still spitting up. Has any one else gone through this and what did you do?

eryka616 Have you tried gentlease or that expense formula enspire I think
robbyanne1 @eryka616, that's what she's normally on. She has an appointment on the 18 so hopefully they can
eryka616 @robbyanne1, I hope so. Sorry I don't have better advice 🙃
