I can't have the car seat straps because the chest clip will sit to low and the insert that came with the car seat wouldn't even support my baby's head it wasn't even like a head support.

i have the same exact shoulder covers ☺️ eden hates her car seat but she started hating it a little less once i put the strap covers on.

@lumos.nox, im not sure, it was used amd given to me. i have yet to adjust straps. but i thought the same thing. it doesnt have a manual to follow. was gonna maybe go to a local fire dpt or something and have them help me make sure its right for baby

@mommabearkelsea, my sons carseat actually came with all that stuff. You can look online on the carseat brands page and they should have the newborn inserts and strap covers as well designed specifically for that car seat that were tested on it.

how would i place the swaddles safely

@guaderrama_babies2, its the same brand tho... ahh. this sucks. i really wanna use them.... but i want babys safety first. if i cant use them what can i use for a head rest

If they did not come with the car seat they are considered unsafe.

after Market head/body inserts and strap covers are a big no no. they could interfere with the car seats straps performance in the event of a crash. they most likely were not crash tested with your car seat and therfore can not be proven safe. any one who is properly trained in car seat safety will strongly advise against the use of anything that did not come with your carseat. yes they are cute but they really are not safe.

we use them and they help a lot. we no longer use a head rest because she can support her head but it was great for when she couldn't.
