Trying a new bedtime routine and letting her cry it out and it's killing me! Need advice! For months she's fallen asleep in my arms but I can't do it anymore, she's taking hours to settle and even then she waking up because she wants cuddle I so t know what to do 😑
im sure they go thru a stage of anxiety around this age too... but will get easier xx
@sara-lou got it spot on... thats what I do... and I got a speaker that you put a memory card in to and I put some sleepy music on there and play that in my sons room.... now dont have to go in other than to check them... xx
Thanks girls! It's so hard to find something that works, it doesn't help that she teething and over tired! I just can't keep cuddling her to sleep, I'm making a rod for my own back 😬😬
I do what Jody mentioned. After cuddles and saying goodnight I leave or sit near by. If they get upset I give them a minute or 2 then I go back. Lay them back down say goodnight and leave again. I'll try and leave it a bit longer each time but even if I go back after a minute or 2 I do the same thing. I don't talk or make a fuss. just stroke their face say goodnight and leave again. First night or 2 you may be up and down like a yo-yo but I've done this with both my boys from day one. If they have a bad night I go back and do it again. I've never let my boys cry or get distressed as I can't bare it but at the same time I don't get them out of their cot. They soon learn. If their poorly or not themselves in anyway I pick them up. They've slept in our bedroom etc but day to day they know they sleep in their cot. Some mummy's rock their babies off and that's fine for them but for me I like that both my boys can get themselves to sleep independently. If they wake during the night I do the same thing. Obviously checking nappies and feeding before hand if needed. It does take consistancy. Hope this helps !
She's seven months today! I just can't keep letting her fall asleep on my it's not a good routine at all! Xx
theres a method online. where u go in and out comforting her goin longer each time it really will work if u stick to it. i let my son walk all over me he didnt sleep through til 18 months i wont be doin thst this time xx

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Hi Hun I did what @jod1303 and @sara-lou did with my son years ago, it really works but most parents give in before the 3 days rule is up. I thought it was just rubbish but after 3 nights of doing it we'd cracked it! He went from being ticked to sleep to going down awake swaddled in his own room with the light off and door nearly closed. It's worth the tears xxx
