What typically do they do @ the first visit? She said it would only be 30 minutes, but it must of changed because before it was an hr. Least when I had my other 3 it was that long.
I didn't have an ultrasound at my first appt I had it a week later. The ob interview with a midwife she asked me about my health history and my boyfriends health history and family info. Went over my diet, what to expect at appts, emergency numbers, what not to eat and what not to do when pregnant... etc.
At mine they did a urine pregnancy test, did my pap smear and tested me for std's and took blood to check my hcg levels and some other stuff. Asked me if I had any questions. The ob interview that I had with the midwife on my 2nd appt was longer. The first was mostly just a confirmation of pregnancy and then a regular ob visir
I don't really have questions besides if theres anything they I can do about severe back pain and the odds off putting me in restrictions at work. I go the 4th..
It's a good time to ask your doc questions if you've thought of any so far. I go nov 1 for my first appt and I plan to write down any questions I think of so I don't forget lol
Usually the nurse will take your medical history, take your height and weight and then the doctor will come in and talk to you a little bit. Then they normally do an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy.
