You can only pretend to be happy for so long. I've had to pretend for a while now and it sucks. I am tired of waking up every morning having to put on a fake "happy" act just so no one will ask me what is wrong, I don't feel like being a bother to anyone. It has been months of feeling like this, it's old, it's hard. I don't think it is just the fact I am sad, but I am beyond depressed. The only person I want to talk to won't even look me in the eye when we are in person and when we are not in person we go weeks without talking at all. I'm not saying any of this for a pitty party, don't feel bad for me at all. This is just what has been on my mind a lot lately and I don't really know how to express my feelings because I have absolutely no one to talk to. I just want to feel wanted, loved, not invisable.

So sorry you're feeling like this! Prenatal depression is a real thing! With all our hormones racing and the anxiety of a newborn on the horizon, we're entitled to feel a bit out of whack. That said, if it's not getting better you should chat with your doc. Hang in there doll! You have an amazing surprise coming your way!

@whitneykemm, tomorrow will make it two months exactly until my due date. I should be happy but, it's the hardest thing. My doctor doesn't know jack squat about anything. It would be no use talking to her about it. My luck she will say something along the lines of I am a bad mom because I am sad when I should be haooy because it's almost time for my daughter to be here

@kcp1997, I'm sorry to hear your doc is not much help. That sucks. Just know that what you're going through is incredibly common and does NOT mean you're a bad mother. In fact, just as many, if not more, women go through depression before they give birth. It just doesn't get as much attention as postpartum does. Here's an article that goes over it: http://www.panda.org.au/practical-information/about-postnatal-depression/27-antenatal-depression. Perhaps, knowing you're not alone and dealing with a very common condition will make you feel a bit better. You're going to rock this mommy gig! Just hang in there!
