How old were your babies when they started smiling on their own because they are happy? I only catch my son smiling when he's sleeping or gassy

So that first smile happened yesterday!! He was having some tummy time and I showed him himself in the mirror and he smiled soo big and a loud coo came out too! @bria
Yea he kicks his legs a lot and waves his arms alot when I play with his feet @bria
He will. He just has to discover how he does it and he'll keep Doing it!! When he gets excited does he kick his legs or wave his arms ?

Around 6-8 wks but now she's 15 weeks and is starting to laugh really hard !!!
About a month and a half. I ran my finger down his nose and mouth and he smiled and ever since he smiles all the time! Before he'd only do it in his sleep too
