No not at all 😊 when I go back to work and do what he does then a little birthday gift would be nice!

@elliesedanniel, he doesn't work, he is disabled, so I care for him and our daughter all day everyday on my own and I just want one day (my birthday) to be about me!!!! Is that too much to ask??!!!!

Hopefully you get a cancellation and you get the whole day ay! 😘 and @daisysmummy I do understand but maybe my situation is different my partner works 5 days a week brings home the money pays the bills and gave me a daughter 😊 he takes us out some days on his days off, so I really can't expect any gift from him he does alot as it is 😌 but now we have a daughter I put everything about her at the moment

@daisysmummy, i understand completely where your coming from on this just a little something to show hes made a little effort for you is all your asking for and since im sure you do that for him he should do that for you, i have 4 kids and dont think that means i dont count!! if its a case of not having tje money then fair enough but if its just because he cant be bothered then tell him it makes you feel neglected . i had it out with my hubby a few years ago over the same thing and now we both get each other a gifts i would always make a huge effort ( not about cost just effort ) and hed make none ie one year i got a half price easter egg as was a bargain at the garage on way home from work!! i didn't feel that good that birthday

@rach0402, it's more about him actually putting the thought into something I would like... If I didn't say anything then I think he wouldn't even acknowledge my birthday and he definitely wouldn't do Christmas xx

@gilbs_xo, @elliesedanniel I'm not so bothered about Christmas because I'm more excited about getting stuff for my daughter... But I look after her all day everyday on my own so I think I bloody deserve to be treated on my birthday and like I said, it's more about him actually putting thought into what I may like xx

@elliesedanniel that's the thing about being a community carer though, everyone still needs you whether it's Christmas or a normal day! Luckily me and my sister can do the double shift and the boys can stay with the kids while we go do a shift, a few people might cancel anyway so it'll be cut short xx

I didn't say there was but like @Elliesedanniel said it's your baby's first Christmas, that would be more on my mind than a birthday or Christmas present for myself. Plus there's worse going on than not receiving a present. Be thankful you'll spend your whole Christmas Day together, I've got to work 😁

Me and my OH aren't bothered at all about gifts for us this year! everything is on our little girl this Christmas it's her first! Surely you shouldn't be bothered about it this year knowing is your bubbas first Christmas?

It shouldn't be about gifts anyway, if your spending it with the people you love then you should just be grateful for that. my oh doesn't really get me anything but I don't care cause they wanna spend my birthday with me that's all that counts.

But you've got your daughter and that's he most precious gift you'll ever get

Remind him, ask for some money. To be fair though, when a child is involved presents and shit like that don't matter anymore. It's about family, not gifts
