my son is a month old and has been having really bad eye goop in his left eye for over a week. been putting warm water on a rag and applying it but it's getting swollen. should I take him in?

No I haven't. But I defiantly will try and see if it helps. Supposedly it can happen up until 3 months of age. And if it continues after that supposedly I will have to take her to the eye doctor so they can drain her eye.

My daughter has that same issue my doctor said is a block duct. Just continue to clean it how you have been if the swelling doesn't go down and if the eye gets red call doctor

This happened to my little one at one week and I was using a rag just like you but it was making it worse and really red so I just started using a really soft receiving blanket with warm water and it got better. I think I was irritating her eye more with the cloth
