I seriously dont know what to do. I need help. I found out I was pregnant last Decemeber and had a miscarriage. The father and I stayed together and about a month later concieved again. We were together for a couple more months after this hut than I left because he kept lying and cheating on me and I just knew he wasnt going to change. Since the start he hasnt really been about the baby. He will text me when its convienant for him to check her. He has went to 2 appointments. He went MIA for almost a month. He tried to get a hold of my but I guess couldnt so he appeared at my work and my parents house looking for me. He wanted to tell me he was going to be out of state this month for training. (He is in the Military.) Which quite honestly I dont even care because I have decided to not let him in the delivery room reguardless. I feel like he doesnt deserve the right. I feel like he is just gonna try and play father of the year when its convienant for him. I dont want my daughter to go through this. I already had to growing up. With all this being said I was able to reconnect with a past relationship (madly in love with him but it wasnt the right time for us to be together) and we have been together since. He is excited about my babygirl and already loves her so much. He goes to all my appointments and makes sure we both have what we need. He is just an all around blessing! Anyways, the sperm donor wants me to get a hold of him when I go into labor so he can wait in the waiting room but I feel like I shouldnt even do that. What are your opinions? I need some type of advice. I feel like no one around really gets it. I dont want to make the wrong mistake but I dont want to see my babygirl hurt in the long run.

I understand where you are coming from but don't be the one to stand in the way of a father and daughter relationship.. Let him be the reason why he doesn't come see her.. If you make it difficult for him to see her or keep him away from her you'll be the bad guy when she gets older..

I am an antique of a mom (37yrs old) and I'm going to tell you my personal opinion on sperm donors and I personally have been dealing with one for nearly 17 yrs.
Make sure you inform the hospital staff that he is the father but you do not have any intention of being with him as a family. He has NO LEGAL VISITATION RIGHTS UNTIL HE PETITIONS TO THE COURTS BY LEGAL REPRESENTATION.....so you do not have to let him take your baby anywhere til he does. I felt more comfortable with letting my SD's parents take my son for visits after he was no longer breastfeeding (great excuse babies need to feed often and sporadically and if you keep from bottle feeding you can use that excuse for quite a while) that way I knew someone else was keep in an eye out that cared more what happened to babies (they adopted his first born), but they showed they didn't care either eventually and had no contact with us for 9 yrs.
As @francisca88 said don't keep them from each other and as your baby gets older and the SD quits putting in any effort DON'T bash him verbally your best answer for everything is "I don't know" "I don't know where daddy is, I don't know when daddy's coming to see you, I don't know why daddy didn't show up." I don't know worked for 15 yrs til my son had a real opportunity to get to know his father (who has helped create 4 other children and has had nothing to do with their upbringing) and my son got to form his own opinion of his father the summer before last.
You do not have to give the child his last name either. I did and 2 wks later he took off and abandoned us because we were together at the time of birth. he was fine for 6 mths. back again for a few weeks and left again til my son was 4 so I legally had it changed to mine before school started on abandonment grounds. I didn't want my son to question why we had different last names.
Just some personal experience, take from it what you want.
