when can a baby start sitting up?? my 2 almost 3 month old is trying to sit up on his own.

awehh I can't wait. my son will be 3 months next week.
my first son sat up at 4 months , he was trying for weeks before that but he would fall over and smile it was too cute

Anyone elses baby not sitting up yet? My son 6 months and sits up for about 10 seconds then falls over. Most babies seem to be sitting up already ?. He is starting to crawl (on his tummy not sure what its actually called when they do that) but not sit.
Is it normal that my 5 month old is not sitting up by himself 😟 he sits up when the sofa is holding him up or when we're holding him that's it
