So I'm almost 12 weeks and the baby's heartbeat is at 166bpm, any guesses on gender based on the heartbeat. I've had people say it was a boy but everything Ive read said that it's more like a girls heartbeat. I know this isnt a for sure way to tell the gender but I'm just curious what other baby's heartbeats were.

I'm having a girl and her heartbeat is always around 166-170

My son Andrew's was always 150-170 this time around I am also having another boy and his stays low like 140-150 so it can definitely go either way lol

omg I have a few weeks till I find out the gender I found a place that will do it at 14 weeks and. like I wanna know so bad.

I don't think heartbeat has anything to do with gender

all 3 of my kids were opposite what the heart rate guide said. both boys were over 150 and my girl was always 130s

My first son's heart beat was always in the 140's and my second son was in the 160's so every baby is different so I wouldn't determine the sex by the heart beat.

@reyesmomma, I've heard that it doesnt but then I hear that girls tend to have a higher heart rate so idk

I'm not biased on the gender. I just really wanna know so I can give my baby a name to call him or her by.

Every mom has those feelings I just shopped for gender-neutral things too. You'll know the sex before you know it. I would suggest not getting a lot of things in the first trimester just because you can miscarry and it's more painful having those things around. also it's nice to get things at a baby shower and then purchase what you actually need after the fact. These are just my suggestions you can do whatever you want. If you really want to know the sex of your baby get a blood test done. Either that or wait till your 20-week ultrasound to be 100% positive.

@reyesmomma, yea I haven't shopped for much but I like getting little things like a pregnancy photo album for all the ultrasounds and such. and like I wanna buy little things like towels and blankets and just smaller items to satisfy my shopping needs till I know.

@tarebear I totally know how you feel. at like 12 weeks I bought a little tiny dinosaur onesie. and I told myself I don't even care if I'm having a boy or girl; she's going to be wearing her dinosaur onesie and watching Land Before Time with me 😂😂😂 and at 20 weeks I found out I was having a girl. I'm still sticking to it she's wearing a dinosaur onesie and we are watching Land Before Time.! lol 💯
