I'm in need of some advice. For the past 3-4 nights my one month old sleeps with me and my husband.. I feed him.. burp him.. we lay down and he will start to fall asleep and then will start screaming. I've tried burping him and everything.. If I let him cry and scream for like five minutes he completely quits and then totally relaxes and goes to sleep?! I hate it! How do I stop it?! Idk why he is doing it

Some of the babies I work with do this. It seems to be their way of saying I'm almost asleep but I'm not quite tires
d enough and screaming for a moment pushes them over that edge. Imagine if you were almost asleep and someone picked you up and started patting your back/ bouncing you, etc. it seems to distract them from going to sleep so they feel more tired and get crankier. That's just what I've assumed from working with them but when we let them scream to sleep, they scream less and less each day before they just simply fall asleep by laying them down.
