Questions for mommies who breastfeed and pump.

Let baby latch and once baby has had enough pump the rest.. or if baby is sleeping and your breast get engorged pump half and then if baby wakes up let baby latch the rest..

My son prefers the left over the right side, so instead of forcing him and getting frustrated I just pump the right side after he's done nursing.

@elainaelise, "Yes, it's okay to combine breast milk from different pumping sessions, as long as you cool the milk to the same temperature before mixing them together. Label the container with the age of the oldest milk and store it accordingly." I had to google it bc I didn't know the exact answer to that. lol

I make sure that I switch breasts after a full feeding as much as possible.. just so that I have an even supply in both of my breasts. I also pump in the morning or when he's napping after a feeding as well as once I get him to sleep for the night. I've also pumped while I'm nursing him because I always leak on the side I'm not feeding him on.

They say it's okay to feed baby after pumping too. Bcuz even though it feels like there is no milk the body produces on demand so with their suckling more milk would be produced at the moment.
