Not mommy related, but I've never been to a wake before that's a day before the funeral. what do you wear to one? do you wear the same thing, like black or idk? sorry I'm just falling apart

@lovemyson215, I agree with the no black to a funeral rule. I generally wear the deceased's favorite color. with my aunt I wore a purple blouse, and dresser pants
Sorry for your loss. but at a wake it's just viewing them in their casket. I always just wore a long skirt or dress slacks and a dress top. I've never been the type to wear black at a funeral. I know other people do it. but to me that's darkness when some one passes so I don't wear black. At my grandmothers wake I wore a long skirt and dress shirt and heels and at her funeral I wore dress pants and a white dress shirt
