Rant!!
I seriously hope my step father doesn't try shoving his views, beliefs, & opinions own my daughters throat.
I can't breastfeed around him without him acting like a child about it. Seriously. I get comments like, "you know, I put a rocking chair in the bedroom so you could do that there." Obviously I ignore it and stay where I'm at, so he makes HUGE deal about walking by us with his hand blocking us from view and his head turned away obnoxiously 🙄 or telling me I'm being "indecent"
(Not knocking formula!!❤️❤️)
I can't come over without him IMMEDIATELY talking about politics or asking if Madi is wearing the color for his political party. There's an elephant on her diaper bag and he always brings up politics just bc he sees it.
(Not trying to start political debate, just ranting)
I can't talk about stuff my daughter and I do without him arguing that I'm not doing anything right. I'm "melting her brain" and "setting her up for failure" bc I let her watch baby educational shows and listen/watch Disney songs. 🙄
If my daughter isn't wearing her hat every single second that she's at his house then she's "too cold" and I'm "not being responsible" (we're inside! She's fine!)
I've had to use my daughter as the "rope" in "tug of war" with him bc he wouldn't stop freaking her out (unintentionally, but wouldn't quiet down when I asked multiple times) by kinda being loud and in her face but he was only trying to play. Still, he didn't listen when I asked him to either stop, quiet down, or give her back. What the heck?!😡😡😡
He's saying that she shouldn't learn a second(+) language bc "this is America and we speak English!" 🙄😑😡 I would love it if my daughter learned another, if not more than one, language! It'd help her out! Open her world up even more! 😍😍he's more concerned about her knowing advanced math and science.
Her onesie was wet from drool so I changed her and I was being ridiculous bc I "put a million outfits on her each day" even though she usually spends the day in pjs at home. Today is my grandma's birthday, her great grandma, so yeah I changed her into her party dress!😍😂
There's more but I know I'm boring you probably.
I guess I'm just wondering, am I overreacting? It's like this and worse every time I come here!! I almost don't want to come back bc of all this and more that goes on. Some good vibes and positive words would help too:/
PS. He has 0 children of his own and him and my mom didn't get together until I was in 6th grade. So I'd love to know why he thinks he knows what's best for her.
You're not overreacting. My husbands grandma is the same way. It pisses me off too. We went camping with his family this weekend and we stayed in his grandparents camper and she was being so annoying about Sofia being warm enough... I'm like we keep our house between 68-70 and sleep with a fan on every night... she's used to being cool. But every five seconds it was "well I think she needs a jacket" or "well that's not going to be enough for her" I was like "well I think she's fine"😂
Tell him to stfu and you already got enough going on dealing with a baby u don't need the headache of listening to him tell him to talk when you are not there lol I'm so mean tho
@bria, usually I have no problem saying how I feel, but I've done it so much he just doesn't listen or I'm the asshole when I do. And I "take things too personally"
I am also horrible at the mouth so I'd be firing off if I were you
Tell him to keep his opinions to himself and mind his own fucking business lol
IM BEING DRIVEN NUTS. @bria Am I totally wrong about this?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
so idk what to do im supposed to be moving out with my bf, baby daddy he is 14 yrs older then me and he has his niece that is 25 that lives with him and she has a daughter that's almost 6 but on day she was being stupid and told me that I might have her daughters dad closer then me then i though since then we have had lots of fights about it and he always says it's not his daughter but why would she say that and why would he have gotten so mad when i questioned him about it and every time he pos...
Question. I just left my husband for cheating and now hes been harassing me. Hes threatening to come get our son. I dont care if he sees his son but I'm not comfortable with him leaving with him bc hes never taken care of him a day In his life and he might use him against me. Am I wrong for feeling this way??
What do you think???? I know that I over reacting but me and the father of my kids are not in good terms.. I ask my mom to give the kids to him that's it. but he have her money to get stuff without telling me...she help him with getting a car after all he did to me...he not wanting my daughter and not been with my kids a full weekend.. I'm been doing everything alone.. I call him and he was that's not of your business.... I don't call his family at all how he is with my kids.. I'm about to give ...
Omg I'd be so annoyed!!
