The husband and I talked about if our son is in sports. He will get one just to be able to call us to pick him up or has a emergency. I didn't get a cell phone until 16. But that's because they weren't as popular 12 years ago lol. I do think 15-16 is a good age. Who knows though I say all this now in 14 years I might change my mind hhaha

My 1st cell phone was at 13 because I had to start taking a bus home when my mother had to work late. Our house phone was broken so I needed a way to let her know I'm out from school and home. I had a Trac phone. It had limited talk time. If I wasted all those minutes the phone wouldn't work anymore unless my mom wanted to buy more minutes but the phone was necessarily to only call her. It had no text or pictures or apps.

I like that age but the only thing is they start doing things with friends before that usually. I think I want mine to have a phone when he does, I'm thinking around 12

I did not have a cellphone till I was 19! I'm 26 lol so I lived and had friends used house phone and computer. Very interesting guys!
