Any mommas have experience with SGA or IUGR babies? My doctors are a little worried about my girls growth and I have to see a perinatologist this week. I'm just not sure what to expect.

my little one had IUGR they did weekly ultrasounds to watch his growth. they induced me at 37 weeks. he was born 4lbs 13oz

My sister had IUGR. My nephew Sebastian was born at 36 weeks weighing 3 lbs 8 oz. He stayed in the NICU for 4 weeks before going home.

@rari, How is he doing? I have a feeling I'll be induced in about 2 weeks. We'll see. I'll be 36 weeks on Tuesday and a few days ago they said she's about 4 lbs 12oz.

Hes doing very well. Came out screaming and healthy. Didnt need a steroid shot for his lungs either. Now hes perfectly healthy, just super tiny.

He was born at exactly 37 weeks. Acts just like a regular newborn.

He was also only in the hospital for 3 days before we could take him home. Make sure your car seat has an extended weight range of 4 to 35 lbs or they wont let you take the baby home if shes under 5lbs.
