depends on why and how you do it. my former step father used to make my brother pull his pants down and use a belt when my brother was only 5 or 6 he'd do it so much his butt would be red and sometimes raw

It's comes a point they need it , but with a belt never , a little pat on the but I see nothing wrong with it . but some people don't know when eough is eough and take it to far .

A lot of people do. I will personally choose to spank my son if he acts out bad enough. My dad used to just smack me upside the head 😂 I think it was a little much, but that's why I will choose to spank only.

I don't think it is. Also someone called CPS and made false statement on my oldest child's dad and they said it IS NOT abuse. Now if it was a close hand and not open then yes it is. But I spanked my kids and they're the most well behaved kids.

i feel like spanking is one of those things where there is a time and a place for it. i want to try to use time out as much as possible when it's appropriate but i feel like if the child does something that could potentially harm them, then smack, like if a child reaches for the stove smack their hand, bc it will teach them "okay stove touch means pain". if they get sassy smack their mouth bc if you don't then what would stop another kid from punching them when they talk shit.

@jdownin0511, my son hates the corner but i spank his ass over serious stuff like if he tries to hit his baby brother who only 4 months old he never tries to over here.no more csuse he knows he'll get whooped he tries doing that shit at his aunts cause he knows she won't whoop him tho so she did whoop him the other day when he tried to hit him with a coloring book .

definitely a time and place for it but my dad only used time out never laid a hand on us and I like to think we are good kids
