No 1 month is too young. Its recommended by your Dr at the age thats appropriate. Why does he keep insisting on it?

Pediatricians recommend no cereal before 4 months, so I would go with that. There is no way a 6 week old could digest cereal.

Right @michellem75 that's what I told him I didn't even listen to him at all I know if I see anyone put cereal in my child milk I'm going off and cursing somebody out

Sometimes people think they remember things a certain way and it was really another way. My MIL insisted my husband weighed 30 pounds at 4 months, then several months later he was 30 pounds at 9 months. I don't think she even realized she said it wrong in the beginning. Memory is a tricky thing.
