That's a good weight. My son weighed 5 lbs lol he was in preemie

My doctor said normal can range from 6-8 lbs

My baby is almost 7lbs and still won't fit newborn but she was born early so she's skinny. She never got a chance to have fat deposited on her those last few weeks.

my was 7lbs and 5 weeks early she was able to be in newborns for almost 2 months

my little man was born weighing 4lbs 13oz and hes no where near fitting in newborn clothes. hes got easily 2 to 3lbs to grow before ges big enough. id suggest buying a couple of preemie size clothing just in case.
