I'd say it depends... if she using it to get her hair and nails done every two weeks then no but every now and then is okay... if he's not around due to his stupidity alone he can't complain what the money is used for. If he'd stayed in the kids life he would have gotten to decide
I don't see a problem as long as his child is taken care of. I don't see a big problem. But I think that's a really hard question. I think a good way maybe would be buying food if there is extra Bc than they both eat.
The Child support all goes in one pot. How can you tell the difference? So for me he needs to rest assure the money he's giving is taking care of his kid/s. Maybe the $300 for daycare came out of her payday check so she took $300 out the c/s check to get the "non" child some shoes. Apples and oranges to me.
I would say the money should go to his children only UNLESS another child in the home has a need or is hungry and it takes care of all the children in that sense. I get child support and I never use it for anything but my two kids with my ex. It doesn't go on hair, nails, me, or even my baby I'm carrying. My older kids have needs and what my ex doesn't provide outside of child support I do. I know women who use cs for them and I know a woman who has 4 kids with different men and only one pays cs and she uses it for many things, including the other children. It's difficult when other children get no $ and one does. It seems unfair to them. As a mother who loves all my children I can't say I wouldn't use his cs $ if my baby had a need and I couldn't afford it. But otherwise, his $ goes on his children. My new husband provides for this one.
Ok so I have a unique perspective because I am seventeen years older than my (half) sisters. My father payed support for my brother who is ten years younger than me. Sometimes his support check would pay for stuff for my sisters because everything was settled for my brother. I feel like as long as no child is suffering than however the money is used is how it's used. It's unrealistic to hide that money away and only use it on one child. Unless you need to prove that's where it's going. Then you should set up a bank account for that money only and make sure you keep your paper trail.
