My cosleeping (bed sharing) mamas, does your baby sleep better at night ?and how old was baby when you started bed sharing?
My son started sharing our bed about a month ago. He is 3 months now. He sleeps so much better through the night in our bed. I don't though lol. I sleep so light with him in our bed and he takes up so much space my back kills. I'm trying to keep him in his own crib as much as possible but it's not easy. He wakes up constantly in there.
I started when we got home from the hospital and most of the time she sleeps through the night occasionally she'll wake up every 4-6 hours. If I try to put her down elsewhere she wakes up in minutes.
My son slept with me since we came home from the hospital, at first he would wake up every 3 hours to eat but now he is 3 almost 4 months and he only wakes up once to eat, sleeps throughout the rest of the night after.
docs do get concern for SIDS however they say bcuz mother is the way she is its actually a good thing their babies sleep next to her
exactly..i dont mind it but i havent had a good nites sleep since i was 18 weeks 😳 and my hubby knocks out to the point where i do hav to movw my cub closer bcuz he will squish him....but
@delis619, I'm the same, any little movement from my husband I wake up . I definitely think as a mother you sleep more "on your toes" when baby is next to you.
@domsmama96, Hes still getting on a sleep schedule, but im with Emilyd, it must be instinct because I don't move a muscle all through the night, I wake up stiff as hell in the morning but he's comfortable so we're good lol. Whatever I need to do to get some sleep, im all for it.
no need for monitors but of it makes you feel better go for it! no harm done...
i think as a mother you will sleep extremely light...its a good thing..that way any movement from hubby or yourself or even baby you will wake up and see....i cosleep and no joke ant lil movement my hubby does i wake up to ensure my hubby isnt squishing him. and any noise from my cub i hear right away!....this is one reason y docs say SIDS doesnt happen while cosleeping....
@emilyd, I feel the exact same way. I don't feel the need to, just wanted to make sure I wasn't being over confident .
@arlogreyson, @britt16 @emilyd thanks for the input mamas. I've been bed sharing with my baby boy since we got home from the hospital and he only wakes up to eat . Just was curious as to how early other mamas had started bed sharing. Also, do you guys use some type of monitor when baby is in bed with you? (Like the snuza , owlet, etc.)
Tinley is 4 months and has slept with my since she was born. She'll sleep until noon if I let her.
Sleeps way better at night with me, I think he was 3 weeks I started, maybe younger. He's 12wks now.
