Are induction labor contractions really that bad as people say they are ?
Not really, it just depends on how you handle pain.
I immediately had extremely strong 1 min apart contractions. It was terrible. I lasted 3 hrs.
@janae_, I got the pit and was able to make it to five. I felt no pain at all. the nurses all looked at me like a freak when I told them I didnt feel any pain lol. I got the epidural at five cause my doctor wanted to break my water.
@janae_, yes i got demerol. i dont do the epidural. never have and never will even then demerol doesnt help it just comforts you so you can rest.
really ? okay good well i think i can try to get through it then 😌 thanks btw ! @yazdahboss
@janae_, oh you could definitely get there I think they get really bad after 5c
just breathe! lol hopefully you'll dilate fairly quick! @janae_
Yeah i at least wanna try to take the pain and get the epidural at 4-5 cms so i can reduce the chance of me having to get a c-section @kbrown91 , hopefully my bf can help me get through it lol
It's different for every person hun, but pitocin does make them stronger. I've been induced twice, and got my epidural at 4 cm and then this time I got it whenever they started pitocin.
yes i was planning on getting it but my goal is to reach 5 centimeters before getting it @yazdahboss
I didn't think that they were horrible. I just concentrated on breathing. And I was doing aromatherapy which helped. But at the end I had to get an epidural since my son was pushing down on my hip so bad
With my first they were terrible but with my second they were very mild. I guess every pregnancy is different.
mine were horrible. i was given pain meds ever half hour instead of every 2 hours. that was with my oldest. i cried.
mine where but I handle them pretty good
