@robynt, only cars manufactured after 2007 have isofix hun. it doesnt matter though if uve bought a standard one. our car doesnt have isofix so weve now bought a graco milestone as Jacob has grown out of his other one that came with our travel system. as long as u adhere to the new isize regs the seat uve bought will be fine. the graco milestone lasts until theyre 12 or there abouts x
@karenb1601, I have isofix in my car but thought most cars did? I just have The standard maxi cosi car seat just a bit confused lol! X
No, you can strap it in with the seat belt. It is just as safe. Isofix bases are just for convenience/peace of mind. I'm a nanny, I've been putting car seats in and out of cars for years and haven't bothered getting one x
You don't have to, I think most car seats these can be used with a base or strapped in with a seatbelt, but they say base is safer! X
@robynt, it depends on which seat yr buying. if yr getting an isofix seat and have isofix points in yr car then yes but it should come with the seat x
hey I dont think so, both my nieces seats didnt have any base to it. They were just made like that.
No you don't have to. I think their used so it's easier to get them in and out if your using it frequently. They clip in and out of the bases easier I think. Because we don't drive and rarely use ours we didn't get one.
no probs hun @robynt did alot of research into the subject after i heard about the new regulations that are coming in x
