They gave me antibiotics through my IV and as soon as I had her they let her latch on and we started breastfeeding.

They only kept me on the IV until everything was all cleaned up, then they detached it. So no.

you can breastfeed right when your baby comes out. it doesn't matter if you are still on the IV
