Is it true you have to take piercings out when you go to the hospital for delivery?

some places yes but at my hospital I just had to put in plastic jewelry

& 7 ear piercings ...

because you can't have any type of surgery wearing metal jewelry, and they have to cover their bases in case of complications.

@kaileenicole16, I hope I don't.. I don't even know if I can get my Monroe out tbh.. And my two lip piercings are just a huge pain in the ass to get out. My other ones it'd be fine lol

if they ask/ request you to you can say no. I have a nose and a eyebrow, I had surgery and they asked me to and I said I didn't want to, it's just a saftey precaution they urge you to take
