I'm on vacation for a week in Colorado so I'm not anywhere near my doctor. ): so hopefully someone else has experienced this and can tell me what helped them. I noticed this morning that my vaginal discharge had taken on a sort of greenish hue. And then about 3 hours ago I notice and very itchy and painful, red rash in the crease between my vagina and thigh. Anyone have any idea what's going on? My baby shower is tomorrow and I don't even want to walk because the rash rubs and hurts when I do.

@mrsgower, 😭 I feel it's a never ending battle with BV and yeast infections now that I'm pregnant. I got BV in the first trimester and the antibiotics for it gave me a yeast infection. So I treated the yeast infection but found out I'm allergic to the medicine for that so that was miserable. And now this!? I've never gotten a rash with either one but it's so uncomfortable! Of course this would happen at the most inconvenient time!

@christimary0, i had a problem with bv and yeast infections with my last pregnancy until my dr informed me that both my husband AND I had to be treated at the same time to get rid of it... well i didnt get either again

@b3autifulm3ss, so would my husband have any symptoms? Because it seems like he's just living the life problem free and I'm over here with a new problem every other month.

@christimary0, not at all... mine had ZERO symptoms... we never connected the two until he asked if he had ever been treated (mind you this was when I was 7 months pregnant and miserable through out the 7 months) i told him nope he treated us both and BOOM relief

So me and my husband both treated ourselves and it worked and I haven't had it since. So we got my husband tea tree oil.. he would put some on a cotton ball and put it on his peepee.. after he showered. And I just used whatever the doctor gave me. You can use jock itch for the rash you have. You can find it at target and tea tree oil, at any place that sells oils. but wait about a week or so before having sex just to make sure you both got rid of it. the tea tree oil may dry out his private and it may peel but it happened to my husband but its totally okay. @christimary0

@christimary0, I struggled with it too. your SO doesn't necessarily have it. mine didn't

@christimary0, I was told it's not sexually transmitted by my doctor. it's just an over growth of bad bacteria in the vagina. I was told it's like a yeast infection on dteriods. since everything is so out of wack whole you're pregnant more women tend to get them during things time
