I think it depends on your OB. My OB had doctors on call every night and I couldn't select the one I wanted

Yea they do. my hospital actually recommended calling my ob and l&d too.

or they contact the on call doctor.

i guess ill have to ask my dr what he usually does. hopefully hes the one delivering my baby lol itll be so akward if its someone ive never even spoken to before. thanks ladies! @mommymcclung @reyesmomma

@2ndchancemommy, I was in labor for 18 hrs about and I had 3 different Doctors from my OB see me! I didn't know any of them. And the one that actually delivered me just had gotten on her shift so I didn't even meet her yet! It's strange, but at the time I didn't care 😂

They will call them but usually they work through them and the on call doctor. Luckily for me I've seen the 3 out of the 4 OBs at my OBs office so it wasn't just a complete random delivering my child. And my OB showed up after my epideral and he came to the hospital the next day to check up on me. Idk how it works at every hospital or with certain OBs you may want to ask. I was kind of disappointed my OB didn't deliver my baby cause I really like him and the OB that did i wasn't a big fan of from when he use to be my gynecologist years ago.
