I'm 7 weeks pp and started my birth control last week (pill) and now I'm pretty sure I'm on my period hence I'm bleeding heavy for the last three days. I'm very sore like I was after birth again though now? Is this normal or should I talk to my doctor?

I would still consider that pp bleeding then and I definitely would talk to your doctor it could be because of the mini pill

@jdownin0511 yes think I will the pain feels just how I felt after giving birth so it's hard to do anything again!

@peanuts1mom, I just got on the mini pill too! I started it six weeks pp and 3 days later I started bleeding very heavy! & now I have cramps that feel just like how I felt 2 days after giving birth! I'm also breastfeeding. I think I'm going to talk to my doctor if the pain keeps getting worse.

my Dr said up to 8 weeks pp is still pp bleeding not period but everyone's body is different especially depending on if you breastfeed or not and the type of birth control you are on. I started the mini pill 6 weeks pp and 6 months pp I still haven't gotten my period.

of course every woman is different, but my experience was that i got my period back last week at 6 weeks pp but i didn't have any pain like i did after birth with it. i might just be lucky but it's deff worth calling your doctor about just to be safe

Couldn't hurt to ask your doctor. I haven't experienced that yet because I haven't gone to my first post pardem doctor appointment and haven't gotten back on the pill yet.
