Sorry about the redundant posts but it's 3am and I'm in soooo much pain once again with my sciatica. I am only 7 weeks not sure why it is so inflamed but it is. I don't want to keep taking Tylenol so much but if I don't I can't even move and the throbbing is too much. I take two 500/mg and try to wait it out once it wears off but can't take it and end up taking more. I just fired my ob who was no help and won't go to my new one till Tuesday. I keep hearing it's so important not to take anything in first trimester. Is it ok I'm taking the Tylenol so much? I'm a nervous wreck and in pain and no doctor to even ask. No reliable one 😔😔😔
Thanks ladies the Tylenol is not cutting it this time I literally feel the nerve throbbing all the way To my big toe, pins and needles through my whole leg. Can't find a comfortable position don't even know what to do feel like it's getting worse by the minute
im going Through the same thing that i ended up at the ER. they gave me Prednisone and percocet there and prescribed me some. i haven't taken the prescriptions because i don't want to harm my baby boy but my mom recomended swimming. tht eased it alot. just try and do that. i have a chiropractor apointment today so lets hope he can adjust the baby. 6 weeks is too early for you to have to deal with that. get a midwife or a good OB that can help
I took tylenol almost every night during my first trimester because I had the worst toothaches
The only thing that's helped me was to increase my water intake and to eat things with potassium in it. I slept with a pillow in between my legs and I did stretches even though the pain was unbearable. Tylenol didn't work for me.
As far as I was told you can take Tylenol it's no harm in any point of pregnancy but your not suppose to take more than the amount it says every so hrs . As far as if it's a harm to your baby I don't think they can really say yay or nay on that you might want to ask can you get seen more like a low / high risk pregnancy so they can keep check on the baby because every now again cool but every day round the clock you don't know what that's doing to the baby .so glad your seeing another doctor hopefully they can help you and send you to a consultant so you and baby can be closely monitored .
I had the same problem during my last pregnancy, only a little bit of pain this time so far. try a heating pad and stretch every day.
