breastfeeding hurts so bad 😢

Nipple shields helped me a lot with the pain. It still hurt but I didn't get cracks or bleed at all. After a week or so I weaned him off of the shield.

Make sure your nips are clean and dry as much as you can so bacteria doesn't spread.. Bacteria loves warm moist spots and a lactating mom is perfect for that..I personally was able to go without a shirt or bra at home so my breast were able to airdry.

@mrsnewman10511, your welcome sorry I'm not much help just make sure you clean them esp if they are open its easy to get thrush and that's a killer

@mrsnewman10511, :( I'm so sorry it took three months for us to get a good not painful latch.. I used to go to an LC once a week to get help..but eventually it stops hurting just push through mine used to bleed so bad :(

yes i did. my nipples are just raw and sore . she doesn't like the shield cuz it gags her. i just gave to tough it out @corinasolorio

:( I'm sorry it takes a min to get used to for you and baby..have you talked to a LC? Maybe baby has bad latch?
