@zozo87, I had a planned section with my son 13 years ago and am having one with this baby in a week and a half. It isn't that bad babe, yes your sore afterwards and I had a bad back for a few weeks from after effects of the spinal block but two weeks down the line I was healing and walking nicely. It's quite a calm atmosphere when it's planned, I work in theatres so I've seen them from both sides, watched other people's and had my own. Try to stay calm and above all enjoy meeting your baby. Years ago you had to stay in a second night, but now if your ok you can go the next tea time, but if your too weak and can't walk to well insist on staying in Hun, no point in going home too early when you need help xxx good luck honey you will be absolutely fine xxxxx

@zozo87, my mums the same she had me by csection and she says all will be fine and its not that bad, you will have a smiler like me (the scar) im having to have mine due to long term quality of life risks as my son, although 5lb 9oz done a lot of damage, 3x internal 2nd degree tears and 700ml blood loss. so I have agreed as I was holding back due to my two year old as he's a proper little boy and I was worried about him, new baby, feeling left out ext but my OB was right why risk my quality of life so I swalled my lump and agreed. As I was induced with my son and wanted a natural birth. recovery depends on you mentally as well! your be fine, buy the cream and support belt to make healing easier and stay positive. x

i had a csection, although it was an emergency one. my advice would be to make sure you buy plenty pairs of big pants!! like high waisted ones🙊 that was the only thing i didn't have that i wished i did as normal pants were really uncomfortable on the scar. also the quicker you are up and mobile afterwards, the quicker the healing process. my section wasn't the best experience because it was an emergency one but i've heard planned ones are very relaxed so try not to worry just focus on what will come at the end of it all xx

@zozo87 My daughters head was stuck at an odd angle so wouldn't descend down the birth Canal...so had to be manually turned xxx I had one student midwife and then an experienced midwife...they both didnt detect it...a doctor came in to check me and felt it instantly xxx

@zozo87 Csections arent a light thing...its a major op...Some people choose them...but others have no choice due to medical reasons! The recovery will be alright hun :) im sure family or anyone will be willing to help you out xxx

@zozo87 I hoped mine would be natural and unassisted but things happen hun :) All that matters is that they are out safe and sound :) And honestly...after I was in labour so long...and pusing for an hour...to hear a doctor tell me that they needed to do a forcep delivery and if that didnt work...a csection...it was like some weight had been lifted. I knew I would be meeting my baby soon..at that point...I was so exhausted...i didnt care how she got out xxx

I was just so hoping for a natural birth. my mums trying to make light of it saying I'm to posh to push. she had a cesarean with me and my sis and said it's not so bad. I think it's more the recovery after when I'm back home I'm worried about @winterbaby95 @tiffany84331 xx

I've been told im having a csection and that they get you up the next day and if your recovering well and wee ect you can go home, as i didn't want a csec I had many reservations and I had alot clarified before i finally agreed. make sure you have pads as you will bleed vaginally and pack a little extra just encase your in longer as everyone and hospitals are different take All the necesarry essentials. I am also buying anarca cream- suppose to be vgood, also a support belt to help with healing. :)

Hey hun :) I stayed in 4 days but didnt have a csection...the same should apply though:) pack extra stuff for you and baby :) Maternity pads...breast pads...ready made milk if you choose to use formula :) And about your OH staying...some hospitals dont allow it...but the midwives are around 24/7 so will always help you if need be :) My hospital was one of the few that allowed family/partners to stay overnight :) xxx
