How long did you mommies work until staying home to prepare for baby? And if your still pregnant when do you plan on taking leave from work?

I worked until today 39 weeks baby is suppose to be here in 5 days. Would have stayed all the way through but it was just too much.

I stopped working right around the beginning of the second trimester. That was mostly due to my circumstances though. I was preparing to move from Colorado to Florida with my husband for the military so I was going to have to quit my job anyways. And then by the time we got here and settled in i was closer to the half way point and visibly pregnant so I just haven't gotten a job since. I've applied to jobs and gone to interviews but because they can see that I'm pregnant now they end up hiring someone else. So I'm just hanging out. It's boring. But people don't want to hire you if you're going to leave in 2 months because then they have to train a new person. 🙄 oh well

OK @kenitra I'm trying to be strong but scared at the same time.. one thing I know is my child's health is worth more than the job. and @starrhunt16 since my baby is due in April I have the rest of spring and summer off. and hubby will keep working

Well that's different if your job is physically demanding. These days even walking is becoming a struggle! You will probably just know when you can't do it anymore.

Wow you ladies are amazing..and now I feel crazy because I work with kids with behavioral issues and I plan to stop working when I am 7 months I want to try to go til I'm 8 months because I can't keep running after a child and restraining them. and I'm just nervous and I feel like I need the time to prepare for my newborn and get time to relax. but I don't know what to do.

I am planning on staying until it's go time. I'm 37 Weeks tomorrow! I have taken a few fun vacations/babymooons and used some days to run errands and get things done. I think if I stayed home now it would drive me crazy with the waiting for baby. Plus, I would rather use my maternity to leave to actually spend with the baby. Still debating whether I will go back to work or be a stay at home. Will see how I feel after baby comes.

You know you have children when...

You get to work and notice that your pants have smudges of unidentifiable origin from the knee down. ?

If you only live off the government and you not your significant other don’t work you shouldn’t be planning more kids🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I really don't understand the judgment between being a working mom or a stay at home mom. If you need to work, work. If not, don't. No need to degrade other women for doing the opposite of you. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
