So on Saturday, it will be my husband and I's first wedding anniversary. We are going on a 7 hour road trip, which will include some hiking and one night of camping. This is spread over a span of 4 days. At first I was going to take my daughter with us. She's gonna 5 weeks old. But now my husband is strongly suggesting we leave her with my mom. I honestly am so torn about it. I know we should leave her, I mean I know it's the right choice. I just know I'll miss her and then I know I'll be down my moms throats cause we don't believe in the same parenting style. I just don't think I can leave her. How do I do this without losing my shit!?

I understand that, and I understand your stand point on you two having different parenting styles. But as long as you know your mom can handle it, then keep that in your mind and know your daughter will be okay

@emmajeremy2627, I've already changed the trip multiple times and this is the only idea I'm really excited about. I know I don't want to leave her but that doesn't mean I shouldn't. I can't be selfish about it. @tatiananoelani I'm not sure if I can comfortably say that I can not worry about leaving her with my mom but I know my mom can handle it, it just still worries me.

do you trust your mom 100% with your daughter?

I could never do that. if you dont want to leave your 5 week old then don't. you wouldn't enjoy the trip because you'd be missing your baby. I would do something that you can bring baby or go on a closer hike wear your daughter in a carrier and then go home. But if your already upset at the thought of leaving her then don't.

@tatiananoelani, that is true. Just gives me so much anxiety leaving her for days at a time. But I know that I have to leave her 😞

think of how young your daughter still is, and how it benefits her more being in a warm home rather than being with you in a cold environment. also think about how you and your husband deserve just alone time and having your daughter will have limitations to what you guys truly want to do. and I dont mean that in a bad way, I just mean that youll be more worried about her well being during those times that should be enjoyable and that puts strain on you when you should enjoy yourself

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Locking your doors We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

I don't care what ppl think of me, but I'm seriously considering putting my baby up for adoption. I love her with all of heart, but doing this alone is hard. Every single night she just screams to the top of her lungs and I do everything to soothe her. I don't know what to do at all. I wish I had some kind of help. I don't have a single ounce of help. I don't know a single soul in Minnesota either.
