Ok mommies I need some advice!!! If my little guy decides not to come b4 next Wednesday my Dr will be inducing me that day. I'll be 39weeks/2days the day of the induction, my question is, is it as safe as it sounds? Are the risks of it ending up in a c-section higher? My biggest fear is having a c-section, Idk why but I've been freaking myself out this whole pregnancy with all the scary risks during and after labor. I'm currently 3cm and still pretty thick, he said he will start me on pitosin and break my water. Has anyone went for a induction at 39 weeks? What was your experience like?

my sister in law was induced everything went great except her daughter has been pretty sickly and has epileptic episodes but it could be completely unrelated. I'm planning a home birth with no interventions and have been assured that even if I go over we'll wait as long as possible for the baby to come naturally. i really would recommend you ask to be scheduled a as late as possible and hope you don't get to the induction date if you want your risk of c-section to be lower (and don't let the doctors just push you into it). i wish you the best in whatever you decide 💖💖

I went in for my induction at 39 weeks, 13 hours from start to finish. Slept 70% of the time. No complications. Good luck if you end up having to get induced! 💟

I was 40w3d and not thinned or dilated at all. They tried inducing me with pictocin and it didn't work so the next morning being as my fluid levels were low, they told me that I could either try to continue the induction or get a csection. I chose to get the csection. It really isn't that bad and neither is the recovery. I felt absolutely nothing and it took about thirty mins. Plus you really pretty much forget about the surgery when you hear the baby cry. 💝

I had pitosin with my first bc my water was partly broke and I was 37 weeks with him and I had no pain meds. and I don't plan on taking any with this one either no matter how bad the pains get. it's all worth it in the end to me. @cubanese
