I've been confronted for breastfeeding in public before, and I set the woman straight! Breasts were meant to feed children, not be a sexual item!!!

I don't think there's anything wrong with breastfeeding in public but you can at least be modest about it

@reyesmomma, what's being modest? People don't have to look no one be offended that her boob is out while she is using it to feed her baby. If she had her boob out just because then I would say she should be a bit more modest.

@desi720 Everyone's entitled to their opinions. but you don't need all that just hanging out. you don't need to cover the baby's head but you could cover up a little bit more than that if you're in a public place and you know people are uncomfortable with it that's just the respectful thing to do. some people are uncomfortable with it and lashing out and saying you should just look the other way is childish. the fact of the matter is that everybody has their different levels of comfortability with that type of stuff. whether there's something wrong with it or not just like you wouldn't want someone smoking a cigarette next to you I consider it the same thing if you're in a public place. it all comes down to having respect for other people when you're in a public setting. I'm also a firm believer in planning ahead if you know your baby is going to be hungry and you're going out somewhere why not just pump a few bottles so you're set. but I also don't think it's okay for people to lash out towards nursing mothers either.

I'm also not saying that it personally bothers me. I just acknowledge the fact that it could possibly bother other people or make them uncomfortable.

i have natural big breast s...I'm a 36 DDD..i always feel like i 'll suffocate a baby by my breast i have 2 sons..tried to breast feed it was painful for me and i barely produced milk...I personally in a restaurant would cover my breast up a little more..not the babies head they need air but...that's just me and my ways

It's such a sensitive subject . I would do it but cover as much as I can (my BB is comfortable with). I understand why it's a problem for a lot . 1 reason main reason- it's unsanitary .. with the viruses that people can get from breast milk (look it up) . 2 it's not being considerate to those that are envious(hurting) because of it for the reason that they can't have a baby . 3 the woman that have insecurities and don't want men to see other boobs. Doing that what this girl did .. i believe is selfish or thirsty for attention. Make a statement please but have a little bit of manners at the dinner table :)

@sherrynygirl, I see what your saying. I honestly don't see the problem with her whole boob being out tho she at hooters and every body else have their boobs out. But if your uncomfortable personally that's different I understand that.

I personally don't give a damn how ppl might feel about me feeding my baby in public it's my right and I would never make it uncomfortable for my child and I just to prevent from "offending" anyone.

@pebblestone, I'm sorry but you sound ridiculous. No one is breastfeeding there child for the attention of others. People do show off their boobs dressed half naked for attention of others tho. No one should have a problem with this and ppl should mind their own business. I wonder would it still be a issue if her boobs were a lot smaller(A cup). And women who are that insecure should seek counseling. I'm no ones pitty party. They should grow some thick skin and go about their day if they have a problem with this. For all the insecure women join your husbands at a strip club after seeing a women breastfeed in public. Maybe that would make it all better.

I don't care about who feels uncomfortable. if my child has to eat I'm going to feed her . no need to cover or hide.

I'm sorry that you feel this way:-) Boobs whatever size they still leak out infected milk that the waitresses might touch .... which she might touch our food or go home as a carrier to her children. @pebblestone, I work with ppl with disabilities they slob cough and do all kinds of unsanitary things at the dinner table maybe that's why this doesn't phase me one bit. I'm guessing you maybe one of those ppl with a weak stomach and a weak mind.

it's fine momma! I'm a lab tech and there's way more of a risk catching a virus from just talking to someone because of respiratory droplets than there is from contaminated breastmilk @pebblestone
