If you're breastfeeding and the baby doesn't seem uncomfortable then it's ok. If by day 5 to 8 still no BM then you can call the doc and ask what they think is the best method to use. Usually a thermometer with some vaseline up the butt will do the trick lol
Try some 100% apple juice and water together. Just an ounce of each. You can also take a q-tip dipped in Vaseline and gently stimulate baby's butt and that should help.
It is not an issue until like a week for formula fed and up to 12 days for a breast fed baby. I'd just bicycle babies leg, rub stomach and for some reason tummy time always made my son poop lol

Lol that's how you check their temps anyway. That same method helps them do poopie lol. But either way....no need to worry just yet at 3 days.
