anybody know if when you do your Taxes and have a Child Support Case , do they take your taxes and give it to the other parent?

(Long story , short

i have 2 kids with my boyfriend , he has 2 other kids from a previous relationship and has a child support case on him has court in Nov to come to an agreement , what I don't want is when we do the taxes , them taking my kids portion away just so the ex B*tch can spend it , as far as we know she is not spending the money on them)

What do the court papers say? As long as you follow those to a T then you'll be good to go... But good luck!! @happymommy23.-

what if he has never claimed his other children , still goes both ways that everything will be fine as long as he is up to date ? @cjda2015

My fiancée is going through the same bs. As long as he has been current throughout the whole year of his court ordered support and since she doesn't work and can not claim the kids, and the agreement states that he gets the claim his two children with her every year, then no the courts can not legally take the money away from. So if you claim together and he still claims his other two then you'll be fine. Just make sure court ordered wise that it is his legal right to claim them and that he is up to date on all court ordered payments☺️

oh ok , thanks @tiffanigypsy i was just talking to him about if it were the case that they do , but for now id rather not put our kids on the taxes, just so the ex can spend it , she don't even work.

I'm pretty sure if he's up to date then he will get his tax money, not his ex or the state.

I need some help/knowledge on child support and taxes?! Her father pays child support monthly.. My daughter lives with me, I haven't filed my taxes yet. I'm planning on doing it this weekend. My ex just texted me and said - "Hey my dad is doing my taxes for me and he needs ur social security number n your full name, cause I need to claim back some of the taxes from the child support. And he said u can still claim Mia it won't affect it he already asked the tax people. So if u can send it over that be great thanks." However, when I googled it...I found out child support is outside of taxes. I FEEL like he's lying to me to try to get my social so he can claim our daughter. Anyone know?!

I dont understand how someone can claim they are in debt, gets foodstamps, and has the smallest limit to spend on their children but also spend thousands on theirself. Shouldn't you take care of your kids and bills before? I mean, i collect foodstamps, but thats because after paying all our bills and taking care of our children's needs, we still need a little help. Anything we do for fun is saved up for, or is free. But we arnt going to spend thousands out of spite, greed or bordem.
