🌎🌍🌏 Who here is aware of the severe problems in the world associated with plastic? I have recently begun a plastic free/ zero waste lifestyle (I have been on this path for years but have recently become much more extreme about it) and it is MINDBLOWING to see just how much stuff is plastic/ comes in plastic/ etc. ‼ The world is honestly f***ed if we don't all start to make MAJOR changes. ‼ Some easy things to do starting TODAY are: ♻ refuse plastic bags at the store. Bring your own or ask for paper. ♻ do not put your produce in the clear plastic bags- bring reusable ones or just let them sit in your cart. They’ve already come a long way and some more time out of plastic bags won’t change anything. ♻ as for NO STRAW at restaurants ♻ carry around a set of reusable utensils to avoid using plastic forks/ spoons while out and about. ♻ be aware of what you buy— do you really need it? Is there a non plastic alternative (cups, plastic toothbrushes, makeup, face washes, bar soap instead of plastic, cleaning supplies, cooking utensils, individually wrapped items in plastic, the list goes on)- you can even make your own to reduce waste & save money! ♻ at the grocery store (if you do not have access to a farmers market) NEVER buy produce that is single wrapped in plastic! This is crazy anyway. Choose the produce that is out in the open and put it in your own bag or no bag. For stuff like pineapple or watermelon, don’t buy the kind in plastic! ♻ for the love of god STOP drinking bottled water or soda/ drinks in plastic. Get a reusable bottle! ♻ do not get single use coffee cups, bring your own ♻ if you use a Keurig and those god awful k-cups, STOP, please! ♻ children’s toys- buy wood, second hand, or other materials that aren’t plastic! That is not good for our kids to be chewing on and touching plastic so much anyway. ♻ buy milk and eggs in cardboard containers, buy glass or aluminum Tupperware, etc. ♻ next time you need any cleaning supplies like a brush or broom, get one made of natural materials that are compostable! 🌏🌍🌎It is OUR job to make sure our kids and future generations have a safe environment to grow up in. 🌏🌍🌎 ☣ Microplastics are getting into drinking water and wreak havoc on our bodies. ☣ Our planet REALLY can’t handle plastic pollution at the rate it’s going. Our oceans are being killed by this because PLASTIC NEVER!!!!! Goes away! It just gets smaller and smaller and is destroying our ecosystems as we speak. Let me know if you have any questions about this and PLEASE try to do your part! If you have any other good tips feel free to share! 🌺🍀🍄🌴🐠🐞🦋🐣
How/why do you buy a car EVERY year with your tax refund?? I know people can spend their money how they want...no judgement, u can buy 1,000 packs of skittles...but I know 2 ppl who has bought a car EVERY tax season for the last 3 years!! Like stop buying buckets and spend a little more for a better car or put a down payment on one. I just think that's a waste of money. What's one big thing you're buying/doing if you get a refund 🤔 #PayingOffMyCC #DressersForTheKids
