I'm honestly so scared I'll get postpartum depression. My baby is due in January and I usually have mild winter depression anyway just from the holidays being over and being away from my family. 😞 So worried it's going to hit me hard this year when I'm home with a newborn and more stressed than usual. Is this something I should mention to my OB now or should I wait to see if it really does get bad?? Are there medicines you can start before birth to avoid it from happening?
If its a concern I would bring it up. I already did to my doctor and I speak with a counselor who is monitoring my moods/will be even after the babys born. she just goes over breathing techniques and mental exersizes and we make plans on how to cope with post partum. it's actually quite helpful
